I just found this site. I am not real savvy with four wheelers; I’m more of the snowmobiler guy so I hope someone will be able to help me out. I bought 1999 sportsmen 335 new in 1999 and all I use it for is hunting and plowing the driveway. On the last snow fall I was plowing the driveway and noticed some oil on the ground. Well I just got to work on it and I got all the plastic off and power washed it today and found where it was leaking from. It is by a plate on the right side in front of the recoil it is part of the oil pump unit. There is a small hole right above the drain plug about an 1/8 of an inch coming out the bottom of the pump. It looks like there should be a little bolt in it but there is no theads. I looked in my book and on the internet but I can’t seam to find out what this is for or why it is there. It only leaks when the engine is running and it just drips. Thanks for helping out the slow guy on the block.
