Hey there... so my sister has a older Honda recon 250 like a 2002 or something. It’s been a good quad for the family but for he past month or so it’s only been running when you have the choke on? It starts up and idels perfect but when you ride it around it dies in deceleration and you need to pull this choke. If anyone can help I’d greatly appreciate it. Thanks

That means that your carb is getting clogged. You can either pull it off and give it a good cleanng with carb cleaner. or, perhaps running some sea foam in the gasoline for an easy fix will work. If you use the carb cleaner to spray all the little holes and fuel bowl, do not spray any of the neoprene gaskets or 'o'mrings. They will distort in shape and not work properly. To rebuild the carb is not a difficult job, but you can get an after market carb online and bolt it on. It will run like new. I hope this was some help. Have a happy day and stay healthy.
