G'day, I own a 2001 Rubicon 500 and it won't shift into 4th gear. When I'm in ESP mode, once I shift into 4th, it stays in 3rd and the display flashes. When I'm in D2 position, seems it stays in high and when I stop, it takes off in high instead of a lower gear. I have to shut off the motor and the key off and the gears reset themselves and I can then take off in 1st???

Any ideas? Thanks, the previous owner had the computer changed once before.

Clarification

Forgot to mention also when I try to shift into 4th, the display flashes and then I can't downshift at all (stuck in 3rd) . I have to come to full stop, turn off motor with key and then I'm back to 1 st gear.
