I have a 99 KLF300 Bayou. what would cause me to burn up voltage regulators? I burnt one up, put a new one in, ran great for a month or two then it burnt up, I put a cheap Chinese one in, same result. It sat for a few years, so i decided to either get it running or get rid of it, did a bunch of work to it, the brought it to the local shop to finish it up. the replaced the voltage regulator, put a new battery in it. Ran great for a few months till VR quit again, where do I begin? Thanks

Check your stator output Its possible your stator is overcharging which creates massive heat in the rectifier.
Also look at all associated wiring for shorts.
