Hey everybody, I’m new to the forum. I look forward to learning and sharing any experiences pertaining to this forum

I really need some help. I purchased a APOLLO 110cc mini commander for my grandson.
there are no instructions or video that are specific to the type of bolt, flat washer or lock washer.
there are (6) self tightening nuts, with no indication. Do they get lock washers as well?
I don’t want to guess for safety concerns that could occur. The dealership is basically useless as far as tech support. Ex: do front wheels get self tightening nuts. Do back wheels get lock washers.
There are no videos for this model nor any that go into detail of the assembly hardware process.
Thanks

I presume that by self tightening nuts you mean Nylock nuts.
Nylock nuts don't need lock-washers.
All nuts, and bolts, whether nylock or not, should have a flat washer. There should generally be a spring washer for non-nylock nuts or bolts.

Wheel nuts, the ones that hold the wheel to the bike, are not normally nylock nuts. If they are a flat nut, not a taper seat nut like a car has, generally have a flat washer and a nut. I've never seen a quad with lock washers on the wheel nuts.
The nylock nuts are likely to be engine mount nuts, or for something on the suspension.
Yes, you are correct. Ny-lock. All the bots provided are flat flanged bolts. Nothing tapered such as an automotive bolt.
so I put just as you described on the four wheels, because that what I thought should go there. Front three 12mm nuts each and rear Three 10 mm bolts each.
the handle bars took 2 bolts and washers. ( not sure if they actually needed washers. I can’t imagine them not having them.

The 3 shock absorbers used larger bolts and nuts and flat washers. (This could be wrong) the flat or lock washers could possibly go with the shocks.

so, I have remaining to install:
The rear cargo rack. 4 bolts and nuts
The front bumper 4 bolts and nuts.

remaining hardware consists of 6 nylock nuts, 6 locking washers
Six 10 mm bolts. All out of flat washers. lol.

10mm bolts are quite large for something like that. Could they be spare wheel bolts. Maybe they do intend it to have lock-washers on the wheels.

Hang onto them, a place will no doubt show up eventually..
They take a 10mm socket. They are probably about a 6mm thread. Sorry for bad description.

I also had to connect the 3 shocks and still need to connect the brake It was pre installed on the handle bars. I couldn’t look at it today. Had other things to do. The idiots from the on line dealer I purchased from sent me a video for the commander 125cc.
not the same of course.
I sent some pictures yesterday requesting info on what bolts and nuts goes with stages of assembly. He called me last night and actually told me that none of the assembly employees speak English and please send pics. Then today after no response I sent email telling them that I can’t believe that I can’t get a simple question answered. Well I got an email in rebuttal from another employee telling me that I had the opportunity to purchase fully assembled. ($300) I told him the assembly is not the issue. It’s the lack of them knowing their own product that they are selling. That the nylock nuts are a safety concern if not placed in the correct application. I told him a new review was coming their way. lol.
I do appreciate your help with this. Ty

Will do. Thanks again. In all the videos I saw it didn’t show any washers at all on tire installation. I’m thinking they are mainly for the brackets. They would have a tendency to possibly shift a lil. The

Yes. That was assembled by them.
the left brake, which is a drum is very tight to squeeze. Should it be this tight? I don’t know
The left which is a parking brake((rear)is very spongy like a brake on a bike is.
I did jack it up and tried to see anything different. Really couldn’t tell in this stage.
everything seems to function properly. No slow down when elevated on jack stand.
im thinking the brake is sticking or just too freaking tight.
